Bursts of sparks, snares bouncing off concrete, harps through comb filters, unearthed ideas on magnetic tape — every song on Tracker’s Trails assembles a unique sonic palette and chooses its own path. The common thread stitching these songs together is the attention to narrative that each track moves through, and a layered space that the listener can explore. Tracker’s Trails is the first new full length from Blunderspublik since 2012’s Barren Immensity, and this set of songs features a complex field of sounds, an avoidance of tired song structures, and sparsely-laid vocals.
